At the Queen's Visual Cognition Lab, our main interest is studying visual cognition in all its complexity. Our current focus is real-world scene perception: specifically, how perceptual and cognitive systems interact to parse complex visual input.

In some sense, scene perception is a misnomer: its study usually encompasses not only perceptual processes themselves, but also memories of scene information as well as deployment of attention within a scene. We use both behavioural and eye movement measures to examine these interactions.
